Secret to The Secret

The secret to The Secret is to take action.

Dan Millman, Way of The Peaceful Warrior relates a story in Living on Purpose on the Secret and the Law of Attraction :

"Louie goes to church every Sunday and prays to God, "Dear Lord, I’ve been a good and devout man for many years, living according to your Laws, doing acts of charity, serving the poor, supporting my family. So please, please, let me win the lottery just once!" He repeats this plea every week for years, but his entreaties go unanswered. So Louie starts to pray to win the lottery every night and every day. Until one day, he hears a voice thunder down from the heavens: "Louie, will you at least go half-way with me and buy a ticket?""

In addition to all those affirmations, one needs to take action to get results.

The smallest key can turn the biggest lock

You never know when Nature and Opportunity is ready.

Will you be ready?

And sometimes the smallest key can turn the biggest lock.

Be Prepared and ready when the key appears.

As Neale Donald Walsh (of "Conversations with God" fame)

writes

"..that you should always have your hook baited. In the

pool you least think, there will be a fish.

Ovid, the Greek poet, said that, and he was right. You

never know when and where your next miracle will

appear. So be ready. Be open. Be cheerful, receptive,

even expectant.

And do not limit the shape and size in which your

miracle can come. Sometimes the smallest keys turn

the biggest locks.

So be on the lookout today. Be ready. You asked for

some help, and you're going to get it."

Obstacles for Success

Today I got a "Quote of the Day" from Brian Tracy

"Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome."
-- Booker T. Washington, Educator

Every Obstacle that you overcome, however big or small, within or without, is a measure of success.

"If you think you're smart .. to do it quicker, you're actually not very smart at all"

Getting started is important. Consistently taking baby steps to get started is important. However, don't feel rushed. An analogy to rushing to get started in the Internet is given in the article from Internet Tutorials & Primer (http://www.mediacollege.com/internet/server/getting-started.html):
"... 99% of all the problems on the internet are caused by the following people:
  • Spammers
  • Scammers
  • Virus Authors
  • Newbie Server Admins
.........there is a huge amount to learn. If you think you're smart enough to do it quicker, you're actually not very smart at all.

Your first task is to make a choice: Do you want to do this quickly or properly?"

Looks like newbies like us are part of the 99%. And yes, there is a lot to learn. However, there is not need to learn it all. Remember our goals and focus on learning those things and taking those baby steps everyday (even if it is 30mins) that bring you nearer to your goal.
